Five
golden rules for dealing with the DWP
- Always
put enquiries in writing and keep a copy.
- If you need to
'Phone the DWP, make a note of the time, date and what it was about
- and note the name of the person you speak to.
- Claim ALL benefits
you even THINK you may he entitled to - many people miss out by failing
to claim. Ask for help from your Citizens Advice Bureau - the DWP Freephone

- Keep all papers
sent to you by the DWP.
- Always appeal
against any decision disallowing your benefits
