The Fund has advertised its third major project award, inviting proposals for funding up to £200,000. Response to the call for proposals was extremely good and we were very encouraged by the quality and breadth of the nine applications we received.

The JHMRF Scientific Advisory Group will meet to consider the applications and the external reviews in February 2012; the successful proposal will be announced shortly afterwards.

This is always an exciting time for us – funding high quality research to help improve outcomes for sufferers and their families, and also to assist in building up important research capabilities in a disease that is increasing in incidence yet is largely ignored by central research funding.
