Doing it for Grandad

May 1, 2012

Ethan Randell raising funds for JHMRFBecca Randell lost her father Ted to mesothelioma in 2001 when he was just 60. He had been exposed to asbestos while working for British Rail for a short time as a teenager.

Ted was passionate about cycling, and the grandson that he never got to meet, Ethan, is too. To raise money in Ted’s memory Becca and Ethan (aged eight) decided to do a 10km cycle ride through the New Forest. Ethan was very keen to do it for his Grandad, and he completed his cycle race and won a bronze award!

He raised the magnificent sum of £257.50 which was donated to the JHMRF in his Grandad’s memory.
