Action Mesothelioma Day 2013
The June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund (JHMRF) in collaboration with the Mesothelioma Support Yorkshire Group (MESSY) and the MARC group (Mesothelioma and Asbestos Related Concerns) held a free event on Friday 5th July 2013.
As part of Action Mesothelioma Day the event, a ‘Day For Remembrance And Hope’, has held at the Plaza Hotel in Leeds. This provided the opportunity for mesothelioma patients, carers and campaigners to learn about mesothelioma from speakers with first-hand experience of the disease and its treatment. A multi-faith remembrance service was also held at Holy Trinity Church in Leeds. At the service a candle was lit as the name of each loved one lost to mesothelioma was hung on a tree.
